Here is what has changed in the new iPad Air 2

Apple held a special event earlier announcing the new generation of iPads. The new iPad is named after the predeccessor, now its called the iPad Air 2.

Lets get straight to what has changed besides the name:

The iPad Air 2 has the new A8 processor and M8 coprocessor of which Phil Schiller said is 12 times more powerful than the original iPad.

The new iPad Air two also got an update on the camera and it now packs an 8MP iSight camera (f/2.4 aperture) that does 1080p video, burstmode, panorama shots, and auto HDR.

Home Button

The home button is no longer just a button but has Touch ID built right in, the Home button-based security system that enables login via fingerprint.

Apple Pay

Apple pay gets its way into the iPad with Touch ID, iPad Air 2 also has Apple Pay but enabled for online purchases only.

of course, Thickness

The new iPad Air 2 measures 6.1mm in thickness which is 18 percent thinner than the first iPad Air. Am hoping its not subject to Bendgate.

Also on the event are new iMacs and Mac Mini updated.
