Google buys design firm Gecko to take care of ‘futuristic’ projects
Google is probably finally doing something about the design challenges facing their self-driving cars and other futuristic projects like Google X and Google Glass. Suffice to say that Google’s work in terms of current software and the Nexus phones have a serious sense of classy design, but that cannot be said of their futuristcis or somewhat weird projects. So they bought design firm called Gecko to take care of that bit of business.
In a message posted on Gecko’s official website, the President and Owner of the company, Jacques Gagne, said that Gecko is moving to Google to work on cutting edge projects that includes Google X. Google X is the Google division that works on futuristic projects like the Smart Contact Lenses and the manufacturing robot army.
