League of Legends game clocks $1 billion in revenue
Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends is about to hit the $1 billion mark in revenues as the game’s earnings continue to soar. According to The West Side Story the game has 27 million users who actively play the game and contribute to the revenues using the in-app purchases that are built into the game.
League of Legends game has gained those many fans mostly through the yearly Riot Games World Championship competitions held yearly. A player joins as the main character for $15-$50 and plays through the levels with other players.
To gain more power, weapons and other extra perks you have to clear various levels and grow as you go by. The more levels you clear, the better and more powers and weapons you will have.
Riot Games believe that the game will hit the $1 billion record by end of the year and are hoping that the little perks within the game continue to sustain it.
