Lenovo announces first Intel Atom-powered android tablet dubbed Tab S8, really cheap
Taking the stage at the IFA 2014 in Berlin, Lenovo announced their first Intel Atom-powered android tablet called Tab S8. The tablet packs Android 4.4 KitKat which is currently Android’s flagship OS despite the announcement of Android L that is yet to be officially released by Google. The tablet features Intel Atom Z3745 processor added together with 2GB of RAM. Tab S8 is an 8-inch tablet with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The tablet’s screen is also made from Lenovo’s One Glass Solution which has been known to cut the distance between the touch and the LCD layers therefore increasing sensitivity, improving outdoor visibility and minimizing reflections. At the front we have a 1.6 MP camera and an 8 MP camera at the rear. Also on the Tab S8’s front panel we have the Dolby-enhanced dual speakers expected to boost the sound that the tablet oozes while you watch movies or listen to music. Battery life is touted to be around 7 hours by Lenovo and the tablet will be pretty cheap. For $200 you will land the android tablet which is expected to be available soon via Lenovo’s online stores or major retailers.
