New Gmail feature allows any Google+ user to Email you, and I mean anyone.

Google just unveiled the huge change. The feature will allow anyone with a Google+ account to send emails to Gmail users, and vice versa. You as the recipient have the option to opt out.

Google’s product manager explained that the main reason for overriding the privacy concerns was the fear that no one would use the feature.

The feature will prove useful for the sender, but potentially invasive for the recipient.

Google reports that the new feature will be available to everyone using Gmail and Google+. The users will be alerted by a link that takes them to the setting when the feature is available to them.
